In the Beginning…
Andrew’s passion started at a very young age when he discovered how to disassemble and reassemble various things at around the age of 8. At 11 years old, Andrew had already changed out his first light switch to a dimmer developing a fascination with how electricity functions. At 15 years of age, Andrew was fortunate enough to have lived beside an electrician, who hired him during the summer breaks from school. This working relationship lasted many years until his boss got an opportunity to become an inspector.
Throughout his apprenticeship working with many experienced electricians, his experience and knowledge expanded into many areas of electrical, including but not limited to the installation of service upgrades, troubleshooting of electrical issues, learning the manner in which buildings were built to rewire with minimal damage, and thinking outside the box. While learning all of this out in the field, he acquired honours in school.
Later On…
After passing his Certificate of Qualifications he continued on his path of learning. Working in the HVAC Control Industry learning mechanical systems he continued expanding his knowledge of how things work and are put together. Now Andrew has completed his Master Electrician Examination with 93%, reconfirming that his passion and knowledge had become one.
Computer Geek meets Electrician !
After Andrew & Amy’s relationship developed, Andrew was introduced to Murray who has been a long time friend of Amy. Andrew and Murray hit it off. They realized that they both had a lot of similar passions and common interests in electricity and knowledge, since Murray, a Computer Software Programmer for over 25 years, had a fascination for Electromagnetism. The two have had lengthy conversations on many aspects of the way things work. Murray sees great potential in Andrew’s abilities and passion for the job which is how Copper Connectionz came about.
